So before you post please read the comments of the people really involved and ask yourself why would a person with 10k hours risking to get his account banned. Trust me its not the mony.

No, all speculation. Don't become a lawyer
First, read Gaile's posts. None of what you mentioned is true.
Second, when you're typing, if a word is underlined in red, you can right-click over the word to correct the spelling.
Isn't outcome-based education a wonderful thing?

Looks like Gaile wins the thread. We can all log off guru and play the game now.
Except for a few people who cheated.

Q: So, what is the one thing you could have done?
A: Make it so if you want to leave your guild hall and you are in a party, you are separated from that party. WOW!!! HOW SIMPLE WAS THAT YOU RETARDS???
I am glad I started playing Call of Duty 4. As I said I wasn't even effected by this but your decision to ban for this crap made me not want to have any part in GW or ANET.
Everyone should protest and I hope they do. I wish the community would try to organize a GW black out. If you don't reverse these banned you really are a bunch of @ssholes.
Well, off to play COD4.

Well. Good bye, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Good Riddance.
Oh, can I have your stuff?
Ignorance is not an excuse for illicit activity. If you, or somebody else was banned for this incident, then they probably deserved it.
If I hypothetically had invested over 20000 hours into this game, had 50 character slots, and had fow on every character and I was banned for an exploit, then I would say that I deserved it. Just having played for a long time does not make you exempt from being punished.

What I dont understand if its a hack then why not simply hack it and put money on you account rather then unlocking a town. and having to map there and kill guys to get money. IDK seems stupid to hack it for a town rather then for the profit.

This is an attempt to people who still dont understand this thread.
it all started with guildwars.
1.) open up trade with a merchant, wait 1hour material prices differ buy a full inv of those and sell to the merchant , full storage of cash instant.
2.) buy 1 ecto for 17k in european district sell in american district to the merchant for 20k, full storage cash instant.
3.) it got fixed, all prices instant crashed down to 100gold each, runes, mats etc, ppl stacked up big time on ectos.
4.) ppl figured out if you put down couple of eoe spirits in tombs and sac a team member everyone dies and you get free fame, lots of max ranked heroes ascent people in a week.
5.) gladiator areana came, lots of people started farming zaishen for gladiator rank and got r5 in like a day for free.
6.) hero battle came, lots of people figured out they could /roll against eachother.
7.) everyone getting there ale hunter rank by zoning like mad instead of 10.000 minutes of clicking on em.
8.) some guy tells its easy to farm mallyx, everyone joins then gets banned.
after a while its announced the nr8 is only possible by having used 3rd party software.
this is the way of a guildwars player whos around for like 10.000hours, there is no right or wrong cause the whole community got away with the first 7, and thats only 7 out of the almost 100 things i know.

You paid for the product and with it you knew the conditions. They all deserve a ban, maybe this is the start of banning gold sellers and botters too.

Whining? LMAO ... im stating fact. You apparently are "Holier" than me, so you cant read my lowly writing.
I said people like YOU didnt know all the facts, but yet were so quick to judge. I dont know all the facts, and i dont WANT to know really ... but i certainly DO NOT pass judgement on anyone. No one is better than me (Except of course you, and others like you) so i could not deem myself worthy to spew out nonsense like "GOOD! They Deserve to be banned!"
Who are we to judge anyone, ever?
And EVEN IF what Anet says is 100% fact and true, a Perma Ban is still over the top whether there a EULA or not.
People PAID money for the product.
If Anet insists on a Perma Ban, fine, give em their money back.
No way EVER could i agree that some nonsense in game exploit/whatever justifies them taking away the persons PAID for product.
Try and remember that this is a GAME. What these people are losing is hard earned real money, for some stupid in game infraction.
So they found an exploit ... OH NO! ALL OF GW IS GOING TO CRUMBLE!
They cheated ... OH NO! THEY ARE SADISTIC PEDOPHILES THAT SHOULD BE CASTRATED!
They took advantage of something in a GAME ... OH NO! THEY HAVE OFFENDED MY MORALITY! SOMEONE CALL THE MORAL POLICE!
Soooo superior than all of us ... i just dont see how you all function in a world filled with us lowly substandard peasants.
Oh and as an aside ...no, i wont leave GW just yet. I just wont ever spend time in PUG's on the off chance i get saddled with folks like you.
But i will stick around if for no other reason than to question your "Moral Police" squad.
And i will patiently wait for the day when its YOU defending your actions to this flame happy lynch mob. It will come sooner or later.
The higher you climb, the farther you fall.

The key issue here, the only issue, is that in number 8 (and not in any of the others) some wiseass HACKED the game. So everyone else, while not hackers themselves, were accessories to this.

Again, since people fail to grasp this concept: Anet doesn't "feel" they have the right to ban him, they do have the right.
Unless anybody else can prove to the programmers that it was, in fact, not a hack... it wasn't a glitch. Some person originally hacked the client, allowing them to access this place. Then that person took other people there, it just snowballed from then on.
That doesn't make the people who went there... and kept going there over over and over and kept killing Mallyx any less guilty. They used an exploit to their advantage. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for innocence. And I'm sorry, but anybody with half a brain had to have figured out that something was up at some point. I don't care if you've only been playing this game long enough to have finished Nightfall on one character and done the quests, you would have known something was up. The fact that there's an outpost that you've never heard anything about, and isn't on your map? The fact that the town contains no NPCs? The fact that you're not completing the quest in the manner that you're supposed to? Many of the people involved in this exploit have made themselves out to be pros so I really have a hard time believing that they really had no clue what was up and are innocent little babes.
Sorry but your friend of supposed 7000+ hours would have known. If your friend is telling you that he was only taken there once and got banned as a result, either he's lying to you or Anet made a mistake and banned him for a single accidental zone into the outpost, at which point maybe you should tell him to contact support like Gaile suggested, so they can look at his case and see if he really was accidently taken there once or is, in fact, just as guilty as the rest.
In conclusion, a lot of you people need to grow up. When you signed the EULA, you agreed to it. That means that you are either in compliance with their rules or you're gone. Splitting hairs over what is or isn't an exploit, or whining about how others weren't punished for other "exploits" is really a moot at this point. They did something wrong, now they're dealing with the consequences. That's what happens in the grown up world.

WRONG, the EULA says, in effect: "Break the EULA and you will be banned."
It's like parking in a no parking zone and your defense to the Judge is "Well judge I don't see a problem with it. This ticket is over the top, No parking sign or not..."
I mean come on, When you're shown something that says if you do A you get B, then you do A you can't truly be naive enough to expect to get C or D.

I believe you actually would fight for it like we are now. All The people you see on still debating for over 60 pages are only debating this because of the fact that we didnt know that this outpost was hacked. We also do not understand why other exploits ie. zaishen chest were punished or the dupers getting their accounts back. By all means making 1000 armbraces in 15 mins is way worse than making a gem set in 20. After all who's really to say that a hacker didnt have a prog that allowed him to open any chest with out a key didnt just hit the chest up and it stayed that way for a prolonged period of time. No one really knows they dont release source codes for the game no one can tell if it was a prog error or a hack.

Im sure this little exploit made all the lag during christmas in kamadan those 117 should all die they made me angry now the entire economy will be better Now maybe I can buy an armbrace for cheaper now hopefully since less people are farming them at least or maybe I can get a eternal blade for cheaper since less people are farming them. I bet none of them farmed any of that stuff even though they were on for 4000 hours and stuff.

Are you honestly suggesting that Arenanet release the Guild Wars source code to prove a questionably literate kid on the forums wrong?
